Job Title    Maintenance Technician

Pay Range   $20.00 – $25.00 Hour

Work Hours                            

Monday through Friday 7:30AM – 4:00 PM and Saturdays, when necessary, from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Overtime is common during the high seasons. Participation in the Emergency service rotation is required.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Technical school graduate
  • Type II or better refrigerant certification
  • Universal Self Study, Technician Communications, Service 1 Maintenance

Basic Job Function

  • Perform our exclusive 20-Point Precision Tune-Up and Professional Cleanings on residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems.
  • Light service repairs and installations of accessory
  • Offer products and services that solve our customers’ specific comfort

Reporting Relationships

  • Maintenance Technicians report directly to the Service
  • No one reports directly to a Maintenance
  • Maintenance Technicians have a functional relationship with the Warehouse / Inventory Control person, Service Technicians, Installers, Dispatchers, and the Office Manager.

Specific Authority

  • Maintenance Technicians have the authority to resolve customer service situations up to $50 with detailed written explanation on their paperwork to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide and promote a positive and winning attitude at all
  • Always treat all customers and coworkers with dignity and
  • Arrive at the warehouse on time and ready to begin work every
  • Be neatly groomed and fully dressed only in a clean approved company
  • Possess all the required tools to perform the job of a maintenance (See company tool list)
  • Always use a Safety First approach to all
  • Always use the proper safety clothing, tools, and precautions before beginning any
  • Keep the Dispatcher apprised of your location at all
  • Keep the Dispatcher apprised of your timetable for completion at all
  • Using and knowing the specific radio codes used by the
  • Complete each and every tune-up thoroughly, efficiently and without need for a
  • Discuss all repair/replace options available with the
  • Discuss all accessory options available with the
  • Promote the Maintenance Agreement program to all
  • Meet or exceed all of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the maintenance
  • Participate in all company and maintenance / service training
  • Utilize the internet based technical training offered by the
  • Complete the Training Program for your

Principal Duties

  • Perform our 20-Point Precision Tune-Up and Professional Cleanings on gas furnaces, boilers, central air conditioning systems and heat pumps.
  • Utilize the maintenance procedures book on all Tune-Up’s
  • Utilize the company Flat Rate Pricing book on all repairs and
  • Perform light service work when
  • Participate in the emergency service
  • Complete all necessary paperwork properly, legibly and in
  • Maintain a clean and properly stocked truck at all
  • Participate in all company, service, and training
  • Complete the Training Program for your
  • Utilize the internet based technical training offered by the
